THE JEREMIAH CALL!!!!

"A Call To The Jeremiah Generation"

Jeremiah 1:4-10

4. The word of the Lord came to me (Jeremiah) saying.
5. Before I formed you in the womb I knew and approved of you (as my chosen instrument) and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you, and I appointed you a prophet to the nations.
6. Then said I, Ah Lord God! Behold I cannot speak, for I am only a youth.
7. But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth for you shall go to all whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you shall speak.
8. Be not afraid of them for I am with you to deliver you says the Lord.
9. Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold I have put my words in your mouth.
10. See I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to plant and to build.

As I stood before the Lord crying out from the depths of my heart for the "Jeremiah" generation, I suddenly saw Jesus. He was standing dressed in brilliant white. And his eyes! Why I was drawn to these I do not know, but they were brilliant blue. So deep yet so tender and so compassionate. They were eyes of joy and laughter. I saw these as I looked into his face. He was standing, slightly elevated above all others. What he was standing on I do not know. I didn't seem to see it. But what I did see as I moved back was that he held out his hands. And in those loving , tender nail scarred hands, he was holding a gift. It was wrapped in shimmering gold, brilliant and so lovely. Around it was a silver bow. The most lovely gift that I had ever seen. This he held before him in his hands. This gift was held out for anyone to take.

And there before him I saw a sea of faces. Young people - youth and young adults. They stood before him. Thousands of them. They all seemed so nondescript. Nothing stood out about them. One thing though. They all held in their hands, gifts of sorts, small and wrapped in brown paper. Nothing appealing and nothing coming at all close to what our Lord was offering them in his hands. Yet, no one was accepting this marvelous gift. They were looking at him, smiling, nodding their heads but seemingly busy doing so many other things. And I felt …..satisfied, contentment, filled up yet not filled up. I sensed and felt something was missing. And I then heard the words ringing in my ears ….. "Content."

As I felt this and watched the scene, I suddenly realized there was a commotion in the crowd off to my left. As I turned I could see someone pushing and fighting their way through the crowd towards him. As this person got closer I realized it was a young woman. Why a young woman I do not know. But there she was, hair disheveled, clothing messed up, even looking in tatters, pushing towards the Savior. I sensed she was fighting with every ounce of strength she had to reach Him. As she fought through I suddenly saw her fall before him, her arms stretched before her, straining with everything she had to reach this beautiful and perfect gift. And I sensed and felt so deeply, desperation. It seemed to seep through every inch of me. A desperation that one feels if they would be held under water and fighting with every ounce of strength that they have for that life giving oxygen. Every pore and every sinew of muscle straining for that gift. That is what I felt. And then I hear the word …. "desperation."

As this young woman reached out in her desperation, the Savior placed this wonderful gift in her hands. Suddenly she was standing in robes of beautiful brilliant white. And from her mouth came words spoken of the Savior, words bold, powerful and anointed.

And I heard the following: "I am looking for a generation that wants nothing, but me. A generation that in their desperation for the truth of my Word will turn their backs on everything this world has to offer. A generation that will fight with everything that they have within them for my truth, for my righteousness. They must be hungry! They must be thirsty! And then I will fill them! They will march through their lands in the power and might of the Holy Spirit bringing back to my Kingdom what the enemy has stolen. I look for a generation who is desperate for me!"

God today is calling a young generation to step out and boldly proclaim the Word Of The Lord. He is calling a generation who strives for Holiness and lives a life of Desperation for him. Our Fathers Words, "Be Ye Holy Even As I Am Holy" rings continually in their ears. They live a life consumed by Our Abba Father and his Word. A generation that God has placed his burning Word in their Hearts and in their mouths. A Burning Word that only comes from spending hours with Him, in his Word and in His presence!! This Is The JEREMIAH CALL!!! Who Will Answer The Call?
